Eugene Wilde - His Life:

Born Ron Broomfield, 6th December 1961, Miami, Florida, U.S.A.

Eugene is part of an eight-strong musical family, and he took to singing at the age of five. After growing a bit older he joined his family group La Voyage playing Top 40 songs in local clubs.

During the disco boom in the mid-70's the group became" Tight Connection" and released one single 'Does Anybody Really Know' on the TK-owned Taurus label. In 1979, he recorded an album with Curtom Records as a member of 'Today, Tomorrow, Forever'.

He became Eugene Wilde after seeing an ad in a newspaper for a nightclub called Wilde Flowers.A few years later his family group changed their name to Simplicious ('Let Her Feel It') and struck a deal with the Philadelphia based Philly World label.

Eugene soon signed a solo deal with the label Philly W. Records and was inspired to write his debut single 'Gotta Get You Home Tonight' (1984) after a trip to England with his writing associate Micky Horton.

The song was a UK Top 20 hit when released here by 4th & Broadway. The same year saw the release of 'Eugene Wilde' from which 'Personality' made the U.K. Top 40 in 1985.

Eugene first came on the US music scene with his first #1 soulsmash hit “Gotta Get You Home Tonight” with the follow up C.D “Don’t say No Tonight”, “Diana”, and the chart topping “I Choose You Tonight”.

He is a prolific songwriter that has written songs for Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, DeDee Wilde, Victoria Beckham, Dujuan, Geavanya, Mark Dorsey, Kathie Lee Giford, Lenny Williams and others. Through his career he had the pleasure working with legend as, George Duke, Narada Micheal Walden, Veit Renn, Crashbois, Jeff Lorber, Sheena Easton, Walter Afanaeff, Randy Jackson, Donald Robinson, and many other. Eugene has shared the stage with Patti Labelle, Natilie Cole, Gladys Knight, Ashford & Simpson, Billy Ocean, Teena Marie, Kool and the Gang, and many more.

Eugene Wilde is back with his with his first studio CD in 16 years. Eugene is such a talented musician playing drums, keyboards, bass and other instruments but his extraordinary talents in producing, arranging and songwriting created this album. With industry legend Veit Renn and upcoming production team "Crashbois" and is well worth the wait. Mixing his soulful voice with 21st century beats and grooves brings a new twist to the R&B, Soul and Pop melting pot CD "Compositions".

Eugene and Veit agree: "We worship at the altar of the song, always ensuring that the song is right before we get into the production of it, something a lot of new soul artists ignore."

"Compositions" features the hit single “Catch me I’m Fallin” which is already climbing the charts in Europe with a remix produced by "The Bass Monkeys".

Just a few weeks ago, Eugene and Erly Thronton, a well known Smooth Jazz Artist, remade the Donnie Hathaway Christmas hit "This Christmas". Radio Stations around the country have "ADDED" the cross-over AC, Smooth Jazz version of probably the best christmas song of all times the instant they heard it. Veit Renn's production, Erly Thornton's saxophone and most of all Eugene's incredible vocal skills and smooth and soothing tone have taken this song to new levels and into the 21st century.
